School Website Development
Websites built for how schools actually work — admission enquiries that reach the office, a gallery parents want to look at, notices and downloads the staff can update themselves, and the mandatory disclosure pages CBSE and ICSE affiliation require. From ₹9,999.
A school website has one job that matters more than all the others: turn a parent who has heard your name into a parent who enquires about admission. Everything else — the gallery, the notices, the achievements page — exists to make that decision feel safe.
I build websites for CBSE, ICSE and State Board schools across India, starting at ₹9,999.
What a school website has to do
- State the affiliation immediately. CBSE, ICSE/CISCE or state board, with the affiliation number where applicable. It is the first thing a parent looks for and the fastest way to lose them if it is buried.
- Make admission enquiries easy and trackable. A form that reaches the office inbox, plus click-to-call and WhatsApp buttons — because most parents in most of India will press call rather than type.
- Show real school life. Albums of assembly, annual day, sports and classrooms persuade far better than stock photography, which parents recognise instantly.
- Let staff publish notices. Circulars, holiday lists, exam schedules and results, updated by the school office without a developer in the loop.
- Load on a weak connection. Many parents open the site on a phone on patchy mobile data. Page weight is a feature.
CBSE schools: mandatory public disclosure
CBSE affiliation carries a public disclosure obligation — affiliated schools are expected to publish a defined set of information on their website, covering general school information, documents and certificates, results and academics, staffing details and infrastructure. A CBSE school website that does not have a properly structured disclosure section is not merely incomplete, it is out of step with the affiliation conditions.
Every CBSE site I build includes that section laid out as the board expects, with document uploads the school can replace as certificates are renewed.
ICSE and CISCE schools
ICSE schools have their own emphasis: affiliation to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, the academic structure through ICSE and ISC, and the subject options that distinguish them. The Mother Theresa School case study shows this built out in full for an ICSE school in Arunachal Pradesh.
State Board and other schools
State syllabus schools, English medium and vernacular medium alike, need the same foundations with local-language content and the state's own disclosure conventions. The structure does not change; the emphasis does.
Where I work
I am based in Kochi and work with schools across Kerala — Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram — and with schools anywhere in India. Recent school work has run from Kerala to Arunachal Pradesh, which is rather the point: this is delivered remotely, so distance changes nothing about the price or the standard.
What ₹9,999 covers
A responsive multi-page school website: home, about, academics, admissions with an enquiry form, gallery, notices and contact, plus domain and hosting setup and training so your staff can maintain it. Larger builds — full disclosure sections, fee payment, student or parent logins, ERP integration — are quoted on top, and I will tell you honestly which of them your school actually needs.
If you already run school management software, it is usually worth connecting the website to it rather than duplicating admissions data by hand. That is a conversation, not an upsell.
